Workshop: Developing a work environment that helps people with disabilities perform their work efficiently
The workshop organized by the Eastern Chamber in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, on the morning of Tuesday, January 14, 2020, entitled "How to provide a suitable work environment for people with disabilities", talked about how to integrate persons with disabilities into the labor market through a matching program.
The workshop held at the Chamber’s headquarters explained that the process of integrating people with disabilities does not end with the simple provision of jobs, but rather extends to developing a supportive work environment that helps them to perform their duties as it should, and to enhance the awareness of enterprises and workers about how to deal, cooperate and support them to integrate them into the work environment more effectively and efficiency.
The workshop defined the harmonization program as one of the programs offered by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development (optional), which aims to participate in the private sector by creating work environments for persons with disabilities, increasing enterprise awareness of the benefits of working for persons with disabilities, and providing the best way for enterprises to equip suitable working environments to them, which contribute to increasing opportunities and providing support to their businesses.
The program offers a matching certificate that can be obtained through progress through the website of the Ministry.
